Mneme Terms of Service

Last updated: May 5, 2026

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of Mneme, a personal knowledge base service operated by Crunch Geek Inc. (“Mneme”) and available at https://mneme.tools. By creating an account, signing in, or connecting an AI agent to Mneme, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

1. The service

Mneme is a personal knowledge base exposed to Claude (and other Model Context Protocol clients) through a remote MCP connector. You authenticate via email, authorize an AI agent through OAuth, and the agent reads, writes, and recalls content in your vault on your behalf. You may also use the Mneme web app for account management, exports, and account deletion.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use Mneme. If you are between 13 and 18, you represent that a parent or legal guardian has reviewed and agreed to these Terms on your behalf. By using Mneme, you also represent that you have the legal capacity to enter into this agreement and that your use of the service does not violate any applicable law.

3. Your account

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your authentication email, OAuth credentials, and any access tokens issued to AI agents you connect. You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account, including content uploaded by AI agents acting on your behalf. Do not share credentials or let anyone else use your account.

4. Your content & license

You own your content. Memories, notes, images, PDFs, embeddings derived from them, and any metadata you create or upload remain yours.

License to operate the service. You grant Mneme a worldwide, royalty-free, non-exclusive license to host, store, copy, transmit, process, parse, OCR, embed, index, and serve back to you the content you upload, solely as necessary to operate the service for you. This license terminates when you delete the content or close your account.

No other license is granted. Mneme does not use your content to train models, build advertising profiles, or share with third parties except as described in the Privacy Policy and §8 below.

5. Acceptable use — prohibited content

You may not upload, store, or process content that:

  • depicts the sexual exploitation or abuse of minors (CSAM) — Mneme reports such content to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) and to law enforcement as required by 18 U.S.C. §2258A;
  • contains intimate images of any person shared without their consent (NCII);
  • promotes or facilitates terrorism, mass violence, or imminent harm to others;
  • incites violence against, or is intended to harass or threaten, individuals or groups on the basis of race, ethnicity, national origin, religion, sex, gender identity, sexual orientation, disability, or other protected characteristic;
  • infringes a third party’s copyright, trademark, trade secret, right of publicity, or other intellectual property right;
  • contains personal data of another person collected, stored, or shared without a lawful basis;
  • contains malware, ransomware, viruses, or any code intended to damage, disable, or surveil computer systems;
  • contains stolen credentials, payment card data of others, or material obtained through unauthorized access; or
  • is otherwise illegal in your jurisdiction or in the United States.

If you become aware of prohibited content stored in your vault — including content uploaded by an AI agent acting on your behalf — you are responsible for deleting it.

6. Acceptable use — prohibited conduct

You may not:

  • attempt to access another user’s vault, credentials, or data;
  • probe, scan, or test the security of the service or its infrastructure without prior written permission;
  • reverse-engineer, decompile, or disassemble the service except where applicable law expressly permits;
  • circumvent rate limits, quotas, or other technical restrictions, including by mass automated ingestion;
  • use the service to send spam, conduct phishing, or impersonate others;
  • resell or sublicense access to the service;
  • abuse the AI providers you connect (Anthropic, OpenAI, Google, etc.) in violation of their terms — those providers’ terms apply to your use of their services through Mneme.

7. Reporting abuse and DMCA notices

Reporting prohibited content or suspected infringement. Use the contact form to report violations. Include the URL or artifact ID, a description of the violation, and your contact information. Mneme will review and act on credible reports as soon as reasonably possible.

Copyright notices. Mneme respects intellectual-property rights and will review good-faith notices of claimed infringement. Submit notices through the contact form or by emailing [email protected]. A notice should include: (1) identification of the copyrighted work; (2) identification of the allegedly infringing material and its location in Mneme; (3) your contact information; (4) a statement of good-faith belief that the use is not authorized; and (5) a statement, under penalty of perjury, that the information is accurate and that you are authorized to act on the rights holder’s behalf. Mneme will respond as soon as reasonably possible.

Mneme is operated by Crunch Geek Inc., a Florida corporation.

8. Mneme’s enforcement rights

Mneme may, at its discretion and without prior notice:

  • remove content that violates these Terms;
  • suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or applicable law;
  • cooperate with law enforcement, respond to lawful subpoenas, preservation orders, and other valid legal process; and
  • preserve and disclose content where Mneme reasonably believes disclosure is necessary to comply with legal obligations or to protect the safety of any person.

Mneme has no obligation to pre-screen, monitor, or actively police the content users upload, and the absence of monitoring does not create any duty to do so. Mneme is not the publisher of user content.

9. Early access & service availability

Mneme is currently provided at no cost during early access. The service may be modified, paused, or discontinued at any time. You should expect occasional interruptions, schema changes, and incomplete features. Keep copies of anything you can’t afford to lose. Mneme may begin charging for the service in the future; if so, you will be given notice and an opportunity to accept or decline updated paid Terms before any charges apply.

10. Indemnification

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Mneme, its operator, and its affiliates from any claim, demand, loss, liability, or expense (including reasonable attorneys’ fees) arising out of or related to: (a) content you upload, store, or process through the service; (b) your violation of these Terms or the Privacy Policy; (c) your violation of any law or third-party right; or (d) any access or activity occurring under your account.

11. Disclaimer of warranties

The service is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranty of any kind, express or implied. Mneme disclaims all warranties, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, and any warranty arising from course of dealing or usage of trade. Mneme does not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, or that data will be preserved or recalled accurately. You use the service at your own risk and are responsible for decisions you make based on content recalled from your vault.

12. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Mneme’s aggregate liability arising out of or related to the service is limited to the greater of (a) one hundred U.S. dollars ($100) or (b) the fees you paid to Mneme in the twelve months preceding the event giving rise to the claim. Mneme is not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, special, exemplary, or punitive damages, including lost profits, lost data, lost goodwill, or business interruption, even if advised of the possibility. Some jurisdictions do not allow these limitations; in those jurisdictions, Mneme’s liability is limited to the fullest extent permitted by law.

13. Termination

You may stop using the service at any time and delete your content using the delete tools your AI agent exposes (delete_memory, delete_artifact) or the Delete account action in Settings. Mneme may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms or applicable law, or if Mneme reasonably believes continued service poses a risk to other users, third parties, or the service itself.

On termination, your content, memories, embeddings, and uploaded files are permanently deleted, except where retention is required by law or for security or fraud-investigation purposes. Backups containing residual data may persist for up to 30 days before being overwritten.

14. Governing law and venue

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles. The exclusive venue for any dispute arising out of or related to these Terms or the service is the state and federal courts located in Miami-Dade County, Florida, and you consent to personal jurisdiction in those courts.

15. Changes to these Terms

If these Terms change materially, Mneme will update this page and note the change at the top. Continued use of the service after a change constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms. If you do not agree to a change, stop using the service and delete your account.

16. Severability and entire agreement

If any provision of these Terms is held unenforceable, that provision will be enforced to the maximum extent permissible and the remaining provisions will remain in full effect. These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy, are the entire agreement between you and Mneme regarding the service and supersede any prior or contemporaneous agreements on the same subject.
